If you ever wondered what it was like to be born in the 90s, well…keep wondering. This is not a history lesson, it is however a journey through the 90s through the eyes of a child. That child is (was) me.

Ah yes!!! The 90s, the good old days, the days where…blah blah blah… I was born in the 90s, which of the 90s, you’re going to have to guess.

My story begins on a Friday, I’m not sure what the time was or whether it was raining or cold, but it was in a place called KADUNA in Nigeria. The doctors and nurses stood around a woman in labor and screamed “PUSH!!!” She pushed with all her might until the cries of a baby just brought into the world filled the air.

Jeez this is starting to sound so cliché right?

Anyway, her together with the boy’s father named him Victory. Oh wait, that’s my name…so as you guessed, I was born on a Friday, I always wondered if it was raining on that day. How do I know it was a Friday? I checked the date I was born. No, I’m not telling you the date, all you get to know is that I was born on a Friday.

Moving on, I grew up in Kaduna, went to school in the state for 14 years of my life. This series is a brief walk through those 14 years and a little more.

This was the introduction, I know it does not give away much but follow me and I promise the stories get juicier.
