Caught 2

Trapped between her past and desperation she gave in to despair and jumped. She could feel herself falling for what felt like an eternity. She could hear the wind as it brushed past her ears…is this the end? “At least I’m free from my past.” she thinks as she gazes up and it’s clear her past can’t reach her here but this might also be her end.

It’s interesting to note how little value one places on life until it’s about to end or after it’s ended. She never really appreciated her life and now she was about to lose it.

As she fell she had an epiphany…she didn’t want to die. She needed a way to escape her past that did not leave her dead; but who could save her now? What could catch her now? It’s impossible.

In that moment seconds before she hits the ground she recalls there’s a way out but she just has to cry out. So with all the strength she could muster she screams for a hero, a savior, someone who understands. “Help me!” She cries “I don’t want to die. I know you can save me. I accept your way out.” The ground approaching rapidly she’s still falling.

Suddenly she’s not falling anymore, she flying, soaring on wings higher, faster, unbelievably. She looks down and she can see her past beneath her, she’s far above it’s grip, beyond it’s reach.

She ran, took a leap of faith off desperation and now she’s CAUGHT in LOVE.

Love is risky, and the past can create walls that stops one from actually letting themselves be loved. Take a leap of faith today. Love will catch you. Man was created to be loved just like birds were created for flight but for a few.

Oh and just in case you’re wondering, Love has a name. I’ll introduce you to Love in my next series.
